Great for well-designed products. Inspiration galleries send steady designer and founder traffic.

Not free visibility in the traditional sense (they take revenue share), but listing is free and can bring your first paying users fast.

Pitch your story. Coverage is not guaranteed, but submission is free.

Read each subreddit's rules before posting. Many require karma or only allow self-promotion on certain days or threads.

Prepare these once and reuse them on every platform:

• Product name and one-line tagline (under 60 characters)
• Short description (160 characters) and long description (300-500 words)
• Logo (square, 240x240 PNG) and 3-5 screenshots (1270x760)
• A 30-60 second demo video or GIF
• Pricing summary, categories and tags
• Founder bio with X and LinkedIn links
• UTM links per platform, for example ?utm_source=producthunt&utm_medium=listing
• A tracking sheet: platform, date submitted, status, live URL, traffic, signups
• A dedicated email address for submissions (directories send a lot of newsletters)
• Your startup listed on StartupsMap (free, takes 2 minutes)

1. Week 1 - Foundation. List on StartupsMap, then claim your profiles on Crunchbase, Wellfound, G2, Capterra and AlternativeTo. These compound over time.
2. Week 2 - Directories. Submit to 20-30 startup, SaaS and niche directories. They take days to weeks to approve.
3. Week 3 - Small launches. Launch on Uneed, Peerlist, Microlaunch, Fazier or DevHunt. Collect feedback and testimonials.
4. Week 4 - Big launch. Launch on Product Hunt and post Show HN once you have early users and social proof.
5. Ongoing. Share build updates on Reddit, Indie Hackers, X and LinkedIn. Ask happy users for reviews.

Tips:

• Do not submit everywhere on the same day. Each launch is its own moment.
• Pick directories that match your niche. Ten relevant listings beat a hundred random ones.
• Avoid paying to skip queues on low-traffic directories. The free listing usually gives most of the value.
• Engage with comments on launch day. Replies matter as much as upvotes.
